Hug-a-Bug World has been developed using proven scientific techniques of association, attachment and repetition to help young children develop positive emotional intelligence at the age when the developing brain has the ability to absorb the required information and as such creating new and positive neurological pathways in the brain..
We have created storylines, characters (bugs), affirmation hearts and songs which work together to provide children with the tools they need to become confident and resilient with a strong sense of self. Our books and storylines are created to replicate real-life situations that challenge young children. The storylines, bugs and hearts, connect together in a way that helps a child naturally develop their emotional brain. This isn’t simply another children’s book or toy. It is a combination which can help a child to believe they are good enough in everything they do. What makes this so ingenious, is that the child is learning subliminally whilst actually having fun. We have developed all of this in conjunction with nature. Caring for our natural world increases a child’s empathy and understanding of how important it is to care for all living things and howthey care for us too.
We have highly qualified and experienced family and child counsellors providing information and advice on many of the issues that arise in young children, including help for the parent, teacher or caregiver, helping them to deal with challenges they face and their own feelings too.
Emotional development and wellbeing are on the curriculum for all nurseries and schools. It is a scientifically proven fact that positive emotional intelligence can enhance academic ability We have developed a fully comprehensive PSHE curriculum and HAF activity programmes along with associated resources to target nursery, KS 1 and KS2 years.
